Brendon Gale's five year master plan for the Tigers is Finals, Members and no Debt

Brendon Gale is planning on waking the sleeping giant that is the Richmond Football Club.

Gale has penned a five year plan which includes the following targets:
  • Playing finals three times
  • Having zero debt
  • 75,000 members
All that in five years I hear you say! I have to agree with you, Gale has set some very high targets for himself and for the club.

Brendon Gale presented the plan to all players, coaches, administration and other staff members on Tuesday night and believes Richmond now has the right people in place to make this plan a reality.

Almost everyone in the football community agrees that Richmond has a massive supporter base which has drifted from the club after 20 years of poor performances on the field and it really is only a matter of on field success that will bring them back to the club.

Richmond had over 37,000 members last year on the back of recruit Ben Cousins and really nothing else, with some finals football and god forbid a premiership I see no reason why Gale and the Tigers can’t hit the membership target.

If the membership target is made the debt will take care of itself. Gale last night declined to comment on the strategic plan, saying he wanted to send the information to members first.

See Tiger fan it is simple win more games, why have we not thought of this before?

  1. We have to implement positive thinking/philosophy strategies at the club. The focus is not on the scoreboard but promising passages or excerpts of play, then added together. We must be wary of uniform systems. The great thinkers/philosphers all thought outside of existing systems. This is where I differ with Ross Lyon, who often talks in terms of systems.
