Say it ain't so Richo!

In some very sad news for all Richmond supporters Matthew Richardson has called it quits.

He has been forced into retirement after recent scans showed he required more surgery on his injured hamstring.

There will be more news at 10:30am tomorrow morning when Richo will hold a press conference down at Tigerland.

Richardson had said he would begin the pre-season and see how the hamstring would go, I guess it is pretty clear it was no good, and at 34 his body was not getting better quick enough.

This news now really does bring an end to the last era at Punt Road, come 2010 this is now Damien Hardwick's team.
