From Hero to Villain in 7 days flat

Poor old Jack Riewolt the hero of Richmond’s win over North Melbourne one week ago became the villain in the Tigers loss to the Swans in Sydney on Sunday.

The Tiger Train was tearing towards a win when Jack Riewolt had an open shot at goal to tie up the game and took a little to long to get his kick away and was mowed down by Marty Mattner.

I think the worst part about Riewolt getting tackled before he kicked was that he could have handballed inboard to a wide open Richardson who could have goaled. I hate to say it but I think Richmond would have run all over the Swans to a win if that kick had been a goal, the Tigers were all over the Swans like a cheap suit.

Speaking of Matthew Richardson he should not have played, he look hurt from the opening bounce. The one good thing about Richardson not playing this week is that fact we need Jack Reiwolt to put it all behind him and step up this week and take Richo’s place up forward.

Coburg has a bye this weekend so I would expect the Tigers will name Cousins, Cotchin and Raines you will probably see Simmons named up forward to replace Richo in the side.
