Here is the Bad
- First 4 games are against Carlton, St. Kilda, Hawthorn & Collingwood
- Three interstate trips in four weeks (with a bye)
- 6 out of a possible 7 interstate trips
- First 9 rounds are at the ‘G’ or Etihad Stadium (& not trip to Geelong)
- Out of the 6 teams we play twice only two were top 8 sides in (Carlton & Sydney)
- 2 Friday Night Games, 1 Thursday Night Game (Good for club revenue)
- Only 7 Sunday Games this season
- The Run Home is West Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide & North Melbourne (If we are still in the hunt it is a good run home)
“It is a challenging draw from a football perspective, but while our young team is evolving, they will benefit from playing in some big games, particularly early in the season,” said Richmond’s CEO Brendon Gale.
The Tigers will also kick off its 2011 NAB Cup campaign with matches against traditional foes Carlton and Collingwood, in the revamped pre-season competition.
Theses matches will be play at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, February 12, 2011.
