Trent Cotchin tooks out the Jack Dyer Medal
I was a very happy Richmond supporter last night when I found out that Trent Cotchin had won the Jack Dyer Medal. We finally got to see Cotchin in every game this year and he showed us all what he could do with an injury free season, two-time winner Brett Deledio and Dustin Martin rounded out the top 3.
The final wash up was:
1st - Trent Cotchin 236 votes (Jack Dyer Medal winner)
2nd - Brett Deledio 203 (Jack Titus Medal winner)
3rd - Dustin Martin 198 (Maurie Fleming Medal winner)
4th - Bachar Houli 181 (Fred Swift Medal winner)
5th - Ty Vickery 161 (Kevin Bartlett Medal winner)
Eq. 6th - Alex Rance 159
Eq. 6th - Robin Nahas 159
8th - Nathan Foley 150
9th - Jack Riewoldt 149
10th - Shaun Grigg 137
I must admit I am excited about the future of the Tigers, if just for one year we get Cotchin, Foley, Martin through the middle and guys like Deledio and Houli coming off the back line all hitting up Riewoldt and Vickery injury free. It would make me a happy Tigers fan.
There was also a big thumbs up to the recruiting department who made the moves to get Shaun Grigg and Bachar Houli down to Tigerland who both finished in the top 10.
